We are just kidding but this picture is not that far from reality. Summers are truly harsh on your skin. The sweat acts as a magnet for dirt and impurities. It can make your skin a breeding ground for microorganisms that can cause infections. Don’t worry we have got your back. Our research team has curated this list of tips that can help you take care of your skin, because it is the season to #loveyourself.

1. Scrub it out :

We know scrubbing is important but please not with this. Get yourself a gentle exfoliating scrub preferably one that’s chemical free you know like our handcrafted range of scrubs. Your body sheds skin cells at an amazing rate every minute of every day. If you don’t get rid of them, they’ll just get stuck to your sweat on your skin making you look dull and dry. No matter how much moisturizing cream you use, you’re never going to have glowing skin if you don’t exfoliate. Scrubbing also removes any dirt that’s stuck in your pores.

2. Sun-Scream or Sun-Screen: You Decide

The sun can cause tanning, dark spots and can suck out the moisture right off your skin. How to protect yourself?

Step 1: Throw away any old sunscreen you might have. It might say best before until 2020 but you should know it won’t be any good. So throw away any old bottles to make room for the newer ones.

Step 2: Apply almost 60 ml sunscreen all over your body and about 10ml just on your face. Make sure you get one that suits your skin. It should have SPA30 or SPA70. Reapply it every 3 hours.

3. Keep on drinking:

Now remember kids, only the last bottle that is good old water.

Not only does drinking regular water remove toxins from the body it also prevents its from dehydration. Two solutions in One. Drink at least 6 glasses everyday to at least 8 glasses of water are needed. If possible, carry a water bottle with you and remember to drink at least once every 30 min. Water not only helps you feel fresh, but it also prevents dehydration and will help wash out a lot of toxins.

4. Think on your feet:

Your feet get the shorter end of the rope every time but to that we say not this time. Your feet sweat too and with great sweat comes great breeding ground for bacteria. Lock away your winter boots and take out your sandals.
